The Spirits of Suddenly

In the humming silence of an MRI room, a terrorist named Mohammed finds himself disarmed not by force but by physics. The machine strips him of everything he came in with. What he does not know is that the armed nurse holding him at gunpoint has a secret of her own.

To pass the time, she tells him stories. Nine stories and two poems. 9 + 2 = 11. This number is not a coincidence.

Welcome to Suddenly. A town where a young man named Joel walks into a remote gun store and is served by Jesus himself. Where an FBI agent named Jim is sent to entrap a January 6th protester and instead falls in love with her. Where a Chihuahua named Tito crosses the border and is adopted by Los Labradors while cartels and politicians make life suck on both sides of the fence. Where an angel named Abana is dispatched to supervise the collection of souls who chose to worship the wrong things. Where sudden deaths are not accidents, identity is a battlefield, and the forces working against America are older and darker than any political party.

With each story Mohammed hears, his heart begins to change. He came in wanting jihad. He may leave wanting justice. But first he has to survive the truth of who has been holding the gun.

The Spirits of Suddenly is not for everyone.

It is not for those who need safe spaces or prefer books they can forget. It is not for those comfortable in the current cultural rot. It is for the lions. For the brokenhearted who know something is deeply wrong but cannot yet name it. For the readers who finished Behold a Pale Horse and felt seen. For those who believe the battle for America is spiritual as much as it is political, and that the two have never been separate.

One reader called it a literary and spiritual call to arms. Another said it was refreshingly unfiltered and unlike anything they had ever read. Another said they would never forget it.
