Creepy & gripping makes this the perfect Christmas horror!
I couldn't put down this creepy horror novella! Diane hates Christmas since the car accident which took her husband's life shortly before Christmas two years earlier, so when her children whisk her off on a surprise trip to Christmas Town, a tourist attraction where every day is Christmas, she's not the best pleased. While her family are in transports about the attractions, Diane is remains staunchly negative about everything. Pretty soon she realises that the snowmen, the Christmas lights, the marshmallows and hot chocolate, smiling faces and animated toys are not what they seem. Can she get her family to listen to her? I read it on one sitting. Loved the setting, the characters, and the menace! The story leaves you with a lot to ponder. Themes of grief, and what constitutes happiness, the commercialisation of Christmas and how others see us. I loved the unexpected ending too. If horror is your thing, you are sure to enjoy this trip into Christmas town. Highly recommended!
