Where The Oceans End

In a village where the sea whispers with the voices of the departed, eternity is a tide that pulls both ways.

Where the Oceans End is a gothic sea horror story of grief, forbidden ritual, and the voices of the drowned, with a bleak undertow of cosmic dread.

1907. The fog-shrouded bay of Sælwÿck harbours more than shipwrecks. Here, tide-wights are said to creep ashore . . . pale halflings who claim souls for the restless deep.

Arthur and Violet arrive in Sælwÿck beneath the weight of its legends. Six months after a storm steals one of them away, the grave remains empty. Yet each morning, a cherished voice calls from beyond the waves.

Solace comes unexpectedly in the form of Celéste, a widow whose serenity seems older than the sea. Combing the pebbled beaches for relics washed ashore by the ocean, closure remains elusive. But Celéste has walked this path before and something beckons them into a ritual older than the village itself, where love and loss are currency, and immortality is wrapped in choices.

In the tradition of nineteenth-century Gothic classics, Where The Oceans End is a slow-burn fusion of cosmic horror and gothic melancholy. At its heart, it is a haunting exploration of grief, longing, and the terrible desire to hold on to what is lost. It will pull you under with its tides of love and loss, the visceral horrors of the flesh, and dread that lurks beyond the knowing.
