Introduction - Ian Garner

Figured I hadn't formally introduced myself yet, so I'll remedy that now. I'm Ian Garner; By day, I’m an academic coach shaping young minds and showing English teachers how to be the best educators they can be. By night, I’m an author, husband, father of two, doctoral student, and full-time nerd enthusiast fueled primarily by caffeine and questionable sleep decisions.

I write stories filled with monsters, magic, impossible choices, and the occasional emotional damage—because apparently my hobbies include asking “What if fantasy heroes needed therapy?”

When I’m not writing, I’m usually building professional development soreadsheets, running tabletop RPG campaigns, landscaping like an aging wizard maintaining his tower grounds, or trying to convince my children that “just one more chapter” applies to bedtime too.

I believe the best stories remind us that ordinary people can face impossible darkness and still choose courage, compassion, and hope.
