JE Warr is a Texas author, storyteller, and founder of Second Chance Hope Group / Local Authors Only, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping everyday writers — students, veterans, seniors, faith communities, and returning citizens — get published and share their stories. After a long career as a certified GM mechanic and oilfield roughneck, JE turned to writing later in life. He has authored nine books (with more on the way) and spent years mentoring other writers. A firm believer in second chances and the power of the written word, he created Local Authors Only to remove traditional publishing gatekeepers and give local voices a platform through Amazon, Kindle, audiobooks, and community events. JE lives in Lago Vista, Texas, with his wife Vickie. When he’s not writing West Texas tales full of humor, resilience, and hard-earned wisdom, you’ll find him at book signings, farmers markets, or helping the next aspiring author get their story into print.
