“Britannia Calls” opens a new standalone work of historical fiction. Its action begins over twenty years after the end of the original three books in The Halls of the Shadow King series of novels. All of these novels explore what might have happened if an individual with unfathomable gifting had lived during the height of Roman persecution. Set in the third century AD, when Emperor Valerian was systematically hunting down church leaders, this story follows Amal, a young man whose ability to reshape reality itself becomes both weapon and burden in the struggle between ancient powers and a revolutionary movement.
