The Nations of Humanity are shattered.

The alien Chxor have conquered a vast swath of human space, and on every world they take they use humans as disposable labor. In the face of this threat, most systems and nations have crumbled. Even the mighty Nova Roma Empire lies under the control of the alien Chxor.

Only Baron Lucius Giovanni has stood against this threat. He has fought back, established a brief reprieve for humanity. He has liberated the colony of Faraday, recovered the lost Dreyfus Fleet, and has defeated multiple alien fleets sent to destroy him. Lucius's next goal is to free the Empire's worlds, to reinstate their rightful Emperor, and to set it up as a bulwark for humanity.

However, every victory comes with consequences. Without an imminent threat, old feuds have sparked back to life and tenuous alliances falter. Old enemies hate that Lucius has earned what they wanted to take. Lucius must find a way to hold off scheming rivals, sociopathic psychics, and even former friends.

The Empire has shattered, and it is up to Lucius to make it whole again.
