Fast-paced and satisfying!
This throwback to the 1980s Cold War has an entertaining, high-stakes plot. It’s light on character development, but Clara is still an engaging protagonist—she’s skilled and determined without being an annoying girl-boss. The touches of romance between her and Victor add some believable spice to the story. The prose is smooth and there are just enough real-life historical and procedural details to lend authenticity without bogging down the action. But frankly, it could have been even longer!! Fans of political thrillers will certainly enjoy this lightning-paced page-turner.
