Not long after receiving their licenses from an arduous test and a shaking clash against three apex beasts during the Turidian IHB exam, Ryland Legato and Kaito Otani of the newly formed Frontier Okami bounty hunting team have set off to the snowfallen country of Hjaalren to find their next marks. Two criminals, Boswick Beaumont and Lyle Petrov, had caused a great chaos during the exam and left the other hunters in peril: what they didn't count on was Ryland and Kaito picking up their trail and going after them for their first real significant bounties.

The Decade Seven each have gone their own paths to their respective hunts, as the Frontier Okami duo sets sail for Hjaalren. Along the way, the duo will encounter new things in the unforgiving winter country that will test their mettle to see what they are made of.
