The Wondersmith

The City of Storms series follows the events of the city of Arcan, a ten tiered costal city on the Salt Channel flanked by a forest filled with hostile entities known as Fairies. The Wondersmith off the tale in the year 6066AG, when the Stormprince, Vogal, receives inspiration from the Fairie, Kirk, on how to tame lightning and bend it to his own will. Electrocuting the enemies of this fair city is seen by Vogal as crass and ineffective, so he begins the construction of devices that will elevate his people into the realm of gods. Such a rapid acceleration of technological capabilities isn’t without its hazards, and Vogal—as well as the rest of Arcan—will need to come to terms with being granted the capability to preserve their foods and fly. From flintlocks and sailboats to magnetic rails and jet propulsion, the world of Eidolon begins to see some major changes, with Arcan as its epicenter.
